R-WIREworks Makes the Best Display Rack

Author: admin - Category: we recommend - Date published: February 12, 2009

This is just a short post to let you readers know about a company that I have dealt with recently and can recommend them highly.  This company is R-WIREworks, Inc. and they operate a Blog at: www.best-displayrack.com.

This company manufactures some really neat wire display racks for use on your store counter or floor standing display racks.

You need these racks for your retail store, your trade show exhibits, your company literature area, or even your employee break room.  These literature displays and magazine racks will help you keep things orderly and tidy.

If you are planning on doing any flea markets or trade fairs these racks are great for selling CD’s and DVD’s because they put them right out there in the customer’s viewing area at eye level and these racks will keep your products from getting all shop worn.

In our opinion this is a great company to deal with and they make the best display rack that we have found.

Some Ways to Ask for Links to Your Blog

Author: admin - Category: website promotion - Date published: February 6, 2009

I was going to write an article about links and how to get them for your Blog or website, and lo and behold this morning I received just such an article from another well known Blogger, Balkhis.  As most of you know, our Blog is about Friends Helping Friends.

There is not much sense in me explaining how to go about it, just go to Balkhis’s Blog about How to Ask for Links.

I will be telling you about a new way to join a link network that should be perfectly acceptable to all of the search engines.  I am testing a couple of these out on several different Blogs and as soon as I can cite some results I will post the information here on Enhanced Contact.

Just another way of Friends Helping Friends.

What Ever Happened to Maureen Green of Central New York?

Author: admin - Category: Whats Happening - Date published: February 4, 2009

We are located in Central New York State, near Syracuse, and one of the things that we have wondered about on occasion is; What ever happened to Maureen Green?

Those of you that have resided in Central New York for many years will recall that she was one of the news anchors on WTVH, Channel 5 in Syracuse CNY, for almost 30 years.

Well times change and Maureen was replaced at Channel 5 along with several other long time staff members by a new round of newscasters and anchor persons.

I was reminded recently when in the Sunday edition of the Herald-Journal newspaper there was a photo spread about Maureen Green and her nice home and some information about her life and family.

Maureen was always the calming influence of the terrors of the eleven o’clock news and she had a pleasant way to make you feel as though all would be well and to hang in there.

So I went searching on Google for “Maureen Green CNY“, and lo and behold she has a website at MaureenGreenCNY.com.

Maureen has a copy writing business and takes on clients in all fields of business in Central New York and beyond. She said that it was a natural occupation to pursue seeing as how she did almost all of the copywriting and news cast preparations for the TV station for almost 30 years.

Well we are glad to hear that she is doing well and I suggest you go to her website and leave a welcoming comment.  She would love to hear from her long time fans I’m sure.

Oh, and if you or your company have any writing services that need to be performed by an expert, just drop her a note and you will be rewarded with a first class taskmasters approach to serving clients.

Link to Your Friends Automatically

Author: admin - Category: website promotion - Date published: January 30, 2009

We want to describe a method that you will be able to use to bring backlinks in to your website.  Linking is one of the most important methods of gaining respect for your site in the eyes of the search engines.

This new linking service is one of the best methods of friends helping friends that I have ever seen.  Next Gen Links has developed a method of joining their full membership with a way to create backlinks in to deep web pages, not just to home pages.

You may elect to have this automatic back linking service create the links in to your site in full automatic, or if you prefer you may set it at a sort of semi-automatic method.

If you have a niche Blog that was created just to promote a specific product or service,  you might want to use the full automatic settings and allow all of the members link in to your site’s deep web page url’s.  These links do not go to your homepage but to strong related subject deep pages.

If you select the semi-automatic method you will get to see what links you are sending out to the other automated service members, and you will also be able to see just who is linking in to your website.  This method makes more sense for a Blog that has a real people feel to it, or where you have a readership that follows you as an individual.

The computer that controls the full membership database does a very good job of matching up themes and subjects so the link exchange system is from websites and articles that match your same subject.

All you have to do is insert a piece of code in to the footer of the Blog just like you would for analytics code.  Then a spider reads your website and creates links to all of your individual pages and posts, so the links that are used are not to your home page, but to deep links on your site.  This is what all of the search engines prefer.

There is also a way of metering this links in and out on a gradual basis, so none of the sites will appear to be cramming links.  The other thing to consider is that these links are all relative to the subject and they will come in from servers all over the world, so they are just exactly the type of links that you need.

For Friends Helping Friends all you have to do is sign up for a Free Trial to NextGen Links with a two weeks free membership and get the feel for the procedure of spidering and linking.

Our Favorite Environmental Site Doing Their Part

Author: admin - Category: main post - Date published: November 21, 2008

On this tiny planet, we and our predecessors have been consuming and polluting ever since cave men started throwing bones in a pile out behind the privy. Well that is changing now thanks to organizations like the Sierra Club, and Oceana. We have also discovered a website where others are working to do their part and are creating awareness in the green movement.

We think you will enjoy reading the short little articles on How To Go Green written by some hard working and dedicated people at waytogogreen dot org. Click the link above to see what we mean.

Another great post on: How To Go Green At Work

An Example of Friends Helping Friends

Author: admin - Category: WordPress, main post - Date published: September 11, 2008

For instance, the Blog called LinkMoney dot org recently posted instructions on how to create the HTML code necessary to leave a keyword link to a website.

Normally if you post a comment with a url typed out in it, then when the comment gets posted WordPress will convert that to a link, but there will be no keyword strengthening to the link, just a link to your website url.

In the example on LinkMoney the code can be written this way:

<a href=”http://linkmoney.org”>Link Money</a> Link Money

That way any time someone clicks on that link you get a vote in the search engine ranks for those keywords.

So this is one way that we can say this site is made for Friends Helping Friends.

About the Theme Selected for Enhanced Contact

Author: admin - Category: WordPress, main post - Date published: September 11, 2008

We selected a minimalistic magazine type theme called Simply Lightweight 1.0 by Net Strife.

We are open to suggestions here.  This is a free theme and it is sort of bland, but of course it is meant to be.  If you want to make some suggestions for a better theme to use, that would be great.

Let’s discuss it.

Some Info on our WordPress Install and Plugins

Author: admin - Category: WordPress, main post - Date published: September 11, 2008

This website uses WordPress 2.6.X.

We also have plugins for:

Automatic Upgrade (Easy clicks to follow new version upgrades, sort of semi-automatic.)

Automatic Backup (Configured to Backup the complete site database on a regular schedule and email it to the admin.)

Sitemap Generator (Search engines love sitemaps.)

CommentLUV (Lists the commenter’s latest post from their website)

Sociable (Puts a row of social networking site icons at the bottom of each post to allow readers to easily vote for the post.)

All-in-One-SEO-Pack (Generates notices to several search engines when ever new material is posted or any changes are made to the Blog.)

(Would normally load Plugin Central but it apparently is not yet compatible with the newest version of wordPress.)

CommentLUV – People do you see where we are going with this?
