The World Health Organization (WHO) and the Center for Disease Control (CDC) are on full alert to monitor the current outbreak of the Influenza virus (Flu) and to keep people informed of the spread of the infection and how best to protect yourself and your family with information on how to not come in contact with the disease.
We recommend that our readers go to www.mexicanflu2009.com to learn the latest updates on the spread of the virus and to learn how to avoid contracting the disease yourself. The Mexican Flu has killed hundreds to date within Mexico and the open border policy of the Mexican-American border politics is allowing the disease to spread worldwide very quickly.
The outbreak has not yet been classified as a pandemic; however the CDC has raised the threat level to number 4 which is just one level below pandemic. It is wise for our readers to be aware of the threat and to stay informed.
This site does not have an agenda and is just publishing news and researched information about the Mexican flu virus and is presenting information and links from other agencies with videos and news bulletins.
You will also find interactive maps that pinpoint the locations with confirmed and suspected outbreaks, along with the locations of fatalities from the flu.
This link will take you to some recommendations from the CDC on how to protect against Mexican flu. Wash your hands, cover your cough, sterilize. All the things your mother told you and more.
